A twenty five year old Nigerian student underwent a total knee replacement this week. He is the youngest patient so far to have had a knee replacement by me. His knee was damaged by an affliction in infancy. Previous to this our youngest patient to undergo a knee replacement was a thirty four year old Dutch male. Our youngest patient to undergo a short stem hip replacement was also twenty five years old.
